The Air Guitar World Championships are back on 24.-26.8.2022!
Oulu will host the world’s most notorious air guitar competition in August 2022!
After two virtual years the event is back live in Oulu on the 24.8.-26.8. Air guitarists from all over the world are arriving to compete, and through the Black Horse competition, any accomplished performer may join them in the final. Detailed programme and registrations will be released in June.
The Air Guitar World Championships have always been an advocate for peace. In these troubling times, we wish to invite all supporters of humanity and unity to celebrate peace with us.
Make air, not war!
Wednesday 24.8.
Airientation
The air guitarists go out to Hietasaari! Join an afternoon out cayaking or biking in the nature, enjoiyng culture experiences. The evening finishes off with sauna, food and a good time. Registration opens in June.
Thursday 25.8.
Black Horses
This could be your way into the final! The Black Horses competition is on Thursday. There will be competitors from all our semifinal countries as well as competitors signed up through our registration, and a few of them will earn their spot in the final. Registration opens in June.
Friday 26.8.
The Final
The world’s best air guitarists go head to head at the Rotuaari stage on Friday! The final is broadcast all over the world, while at Rotuaari the audience and the esteemed judges cheer our competitors on to their best performances. The event is free!
