Air Guitar Workshop as part of the Awesome August for kids
This year Oulu August Festivals has added Awesome August for Kids into it’s programme. The programme offers easily approachable culture events for kids, on every Saturday of August. The programme includes concerts, workshops, a music video screening and a poetry panel for children. All events are held at the Culture Centre Valve in Oulu City Centre, and most of them have free entry.
On Air Guitar week’s Saturday the 26th of August, the programme offers an air guitar themed event. At 12pm at Valvenäyttämö, the event will start with an air guitar show performed by the legendary Justin “Nordic Thunder” Howard, and Oulu based Aapo “The Angus” Rautio. After the show, the air guitarists will teach a workshop, where you’ll get to make up your own air guitar character and learn some cool air guitar moves.
No pre-registration needed, and free entry! The event is recommended to six-year-olds and above, and its approximated duration is 40 minutes. Remember to bring your own air guitar!
