Canada has picked their National Champion
Air Guitar Canada started the 2025 national tour from Montreal back in April. The tour continued through Ottawa and Toronto in May, until finishing in Toronto where the Canadian National Final was held on Saturday 7th of June.
The exciting national final took place in the Velvet Underground concert venue, that hosted the 2024 final as well. With a total score of 35.6 Dana “Danasaurus Rex” Schiemann, who had won the Toronto’s competition on May the 16th, was declared as the Canadian National Champion 2025!
This won’t be her first time in Oulu, but it will be a comeback after seven years! In 2018 Danasaurus Rex competed on the World Championships stage placing then as the world’s third best air guitarist.
The World Championships will surely be exciting, since Canada will now officially have two champions representing the country on the final stage. Could Canada even score a second World Champion title in a row?
